Ask Springster: I had a fight with my bestie

What should I do?

This week on #AskSpringster we help a Springster who had a major fight with their bestie.

Mpho is 15 years old and has recently lost her best friend after they had a fight. She feels lost and all alone. She cannot concentrate at school anymore because she misses her friend. Mpho doesn’t know how to deal with this fight.

We asked a few Springsters for their advice, and this is what they had to say.

Solution:

Hi Mpho, Fighting with someone close to you can be an experience that is hard to deal with. Don’t worry it’s totally and completely OK to not be OK. Figure out how you would like to go forward. Is your relationship fixable or do you think that it is better for you to move on without her?

Remember, friends can have a positive or negative effect on you and your life - so stick with the people who support and love you. It is really important to speak to someone you trust about these feelings as they will be able to help you talk things through, and get the support you may need.
