It seems like all I hear about lately is mentorship.

This got me thinking: if everyone, even successful people, is talking about it, then surely it must be important.

A mentor is someone who guides you. It can be your teacher, a successful business person in your community or someone older and experienced in the career path you want to follow. A mentor helps you set goals and work on achieving them. But what happens if, like me, you can’t find a mentor in your community? I went online, now my mentor is in my pocket.

Barclays Life Skills teaches life skills like perfecting your CV, interview skills and how to boost your confidence. You can also get mentoring on money skills, so you know how to save and manage a budget. You can take the Wheel of Strength test to find a career that matches your personality.

Hi Springster. I would recommend you researching courses in careers you'd really like to pursue, that way you'd enjoy it better. Good luck

Im a grade 9th student. I'm a fast-slow learner and I would like to know which apps I can download to help me with school and studying. I do the following subjects: maths, sepedi, physical science, life science, drama, dance, English Fal, technology, life orientation, history and geography.

Hi Springster. The best thing to do now is to create a study timetable which you intend on sticking too. You'll need to 1) Divide however long you have until your exams by how many subjects you study e.g. Maths, Science, English 2) Then for each, divide all the topics and areas you need to cover accordingly 3) Keep it very simple or add extra fields, such as to note specific things you want to achieve in a session. You can also use cards for short info revision, pictures for memory and study with a friend so you can quiz each other. Give yourself enough time to cover all your subjects and be consistent. I know its easy to become distracted but this is the final quarter of the year so hang in there. Good luck

I just want to say that I've tried Levelup and I don't regret it! It has really helped me. I defs recommend it to you Springsters! xx💜

Hey Wandi, it's so cool that you're interested in learning. Please go to your Google Play app on your phone and search for LevelUp. The app should pop up there and you will be able to download it. All the best with your learning Springster. Please let us know how it goes.
